Conflitos e Pressão no território quilombola de Oriximiná

As comunidades remanescentes do quilombo de Oriximiná são formadas por 37 comunidades distribuídas em oito territórios, sendo que quatro deles são titulados, um está parcialmente titulado e três ainda esperam a titulação, sendo que esses últimos se encontram sobrepostos a áreas de conservação, o que dificulta o processo.
A titulação dessas terras quilombolas tem sido extremamente lenta, estando tramitando no INCRA e ITERPA desde inicio dos anos 2000. Existe no momento uma expectativa que isso mude, uma vez que em Fevereiro de 2015 o Tribunal Regional Federal da 1a Região em Santarém deu um prazo de 2 anos para que o governo federal conclua a titulação das terras do Alto Trombetas e em Maio de 2016 o TRF-1 confirmou essa decisão.
